The following is an autobiography by a Jacobs’ Journal staff member.
Hi! My name is Ameya Singh and I am a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics in Marshall college. I have been karting for about 13 years now so when I’m not trying to get disoriented code to compile, you can usually find me at a race track or blabbering about motorsport. I also love playing video games(VALORANT!), reading(post- modernist stuff) and watching thriller/horror movies.
My academic interests mostly lie in areas surrounding Computer Science and Discrete Math. Specifically, I am most interested in Computer Vision, Quantum Computing and the intersection of High Performance Computing and Mathematical analysis. My curiosity in Computer Vision mostly stems from my interest in motorsport and self-driving cars. I am also interested in the application of automation and robotics into the general world for day to day tasks and like to read up on the advancements in Deep Learning and Machine Intelligence during my free time.
I first heard about Jacobs’ Journal at a Council Meeting and immediately found it engaging as I had not come across such a platform before. I look forward to getting back on campus and connecting with my fellow Tritons once again!
