The following is an autobiography by a Jacobs’ Journal staff member.
Hello, my name is Noor Jameel, and I am currently a Mathematics Applied Science major from Warren. I am a part of the Class of 2024. I am interested in researching topics that fall within the Bioengineering field, such as, affordable prosthetics that can help make people’s lives easier. I’ve always loved math, and I was also fascinated by the medical field. So combining my two interests I found Bioengineering. Outside of academics, my interests include swimming, video games, and watching movies.
So far, I haven’t got to experience college life due to COVID restrictions. This has been extremely challenging, because I can’t interact with fellow classmates or professors the way that I would have liked. Once I heard about Jacobs’ Journal, I immediately decided to apply because it would have been my first step to getting back to socializing and getting involved on campus.
I am extremely excited to begin research with the brilliant members of this club! I also look forward to working with fellow members to help get more members, as I’m sure many other students would love to be a part of this club. Finally, I am thrilled about the possible opportunities, like labs and internships that this club may make possible for me to take a part in through the skills I will gain. This club will help me take advantage of opportunities that I may have never even heard of.
