Letter from the Editor: Goals, FA’21

The theme for this quarter is “Ramp”.

As shared only a handful of months prior, the Jacobs Journal team had redefined itself as a student organization in terms of writer productivity and member retainment. Our goals were always to prioritize our members’ satisfaction and feelings of achievement. We worked to establish programs to push new writers on their paths towards success. With everyone’s involvement, the org created a supportive, collaborative community. Our team worked extremely hard to define the journal’s foundation and how we represent ourselves.

We push forward with this momentum behind us and the energy each member carries back on campus. Where we had so much to prove in the past few quarters, Jacobs Journal now has so much to share.

Journal production is transitioning into our “ramp” phase. When our concept, programs, and community are proven, it is our goal this quarter to share and implement these programs on a larger scale. Our veteran executive team will work hard to push for publicity and media coverage, while our technical team will work endlessly to upkeep quality of work and integrity.

“Where we had so much to prove in the past few quarters, Jacobs Journal now has so much to share.”

Here’s to a wildly promising quarter. Your executive team this quarter will be

Andrew Cen, your new Editorial Lead.

Claire Wang, your Program Manager.

Hope Do, your Publicity Chair.

and

David Hoang, your Design and Media Lead.

Keep an eye out on campus for the members behind it all at Jacobs Journal.
